The Robot is Ready for Testing

Thursday, February 12, 2009

The various systems on the robot have been completed and put together. The robot now "almost shoots, almost harvests, almost drives" and is almost ready to be tested on Playday, where teams in the area get a chance to see how other teams are doing. In addition, the code "almost loads and almost compiles."

The drive system has been fully debugged, and the harvester-shooter system is operational. All that remains to be done, aside from a few large programming issues, is to install new ball guides.

On Saturday the 14th, Team 449 will participate in Playday, where teams in the Washington D.C. metropolitan region can try their robot in real game conditions, and observe other robots in the same conditions. Two weeks later, on Saturday the 28th, the team will be at the D.C. regionals.
