On the first day of qualifying matches, the second at the New Jersey Regional, we had five matches, of which we won three. And although we were unhappy about our losses, it is nice to know that we did our best given the various situations we faced, such as playing without a third robot in one match and when our Operator Interface was broken when an opposing robot rammed into our alliance wall, which sent our Operator Interface flying. Luckily, we had a spare joystick and received another from a different team. With a now fully functional OI board, we were able to win our next match and are optimistic about our chances for tomorrow. During the day, we did even more scouting and had the opportunity to talk to the yet more people who visited our pit. To top off a good day, we won the Delphi “Driving Tomorrow’s Technology” Award!
