LGBTQ+ of FIRST

We are a Silver Tier Partner Team of LGBTQ+ of FIRST, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and acceptance of LGBTQ+ participants in FIRST Robotics. To find out more about the organization, click here.

We aim to supporting all queer members, make sure that they feel welcome and provide a community that is open about queer issues and acceptance. Email contact@lgbtqoffirst.org with any questions.

During competitions, our team provides:

  • LGBTQ+ of FIRST Pins, Pamphlets, Business Cards and Buttons
  • Ribbons (at World Championships)

FIRST Ladies

We are a Regional Partner Team of FIRST Ladies, an organization that provides a place for girls on FRC teams around the world to make connections and get support. To find out more about the organization, click here.

We aim to support all female and genderqueer FIRST team members, make sure that they feel welcome and provide a community that is open about issues of sex and feminism. Email ladiesinfirst@gmail.com with any questions.

During competitions, our team provides:

  • FIRST Ladies buttons and business cards
  • One district event at a competition

The Compass Alliance

We are a Partner Team with The Compass Alliance, an organization dedicated to being a go-to answer for running, enhancing and sustaining an FRC team. To find out more about the organization, click here.

During the season, our team provides:

  • Help Hubs for Chesapeake teams
  • Service in the TCA call center
  • Tag Team service for Chesapeake teams

Takoma Park Middle School STEM Night


We work with Takoma Park Middle School to come to their annual annual STEM night, an event that exhibits student work and the work of multiple community members in the area. To find out more about the school, click here.

Every Girl Can


We work with the Every Girl Can Learning Institute to teach girls near the Silver Spring area about the basics of robotics through Vex building and other outreach. The organization aims to provide girls life skills enrichment programs that help ensure their success in school, career and community and to give them experiences, exposure and tools that build confidence, a positive self-image, respect, trust and integrity in their everyday lives.
